I kicked the week off with Firefall's "Strange Way" from their 1978 album Elan. This single made it to No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was their highest charting single off that release. "Goodbye I Love You" was the other single that made it onto the charts at No. 43 on the Hot 100.

You might remember some of this Boulder, Colo., outfit's other hits, including 1976's No. 9 hit, "You Are the Woman"; 1977's No. 11 hit, "Just Remember I Love You"; 1977's No. 34 hit, "Cinderella" and others. In January of this year, Firefall was inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. According to the only official Firefall website I could find, it doesn't look like they are touring at this time.

Just as a side note, I seem to remember them playing at the Rice County Fair at some time during my youth just before they made it big. If anyone else remembers this, please drop me a line. If it didn't happen, please feel free to set me straight.
