Power 96 Cool One Recap: Gin Blossoms

On Wednesday the Power 96 Cool One was "Follow You Down" from the Gin Blossoms. This single comes from their hit album Congratulations... I'm Sorry, which went to No. 10 on the U.S. Billboard 200. The Cool One peaked at No. 22 on the U.S. Billboard Adult Contemporary Chart, No. 9 on the Hot 100, No. 8 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart, No. 7 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart, No. 6 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, No. 5 on the Mainstream Top 40, and No. 3 on the Adult Top 40.

Congratulations... I'm Sorry was the Gin Blossoms' third studio album and was released on February 13, 1996, as a follow up to their successful album New Miserable Experience. The band, like Tuesday's Cool One The Refreshments, hails from Tempe, Ariz., and also shares that Southwestern style sound in their music.
