Power 96 Cool One Recap: Guns N’ Roses

Yesterday's Power 96 Cool One artist, Guns N' Roses, is a band usually remembered for their bigger hits like "Welcome to the Jungle," "Paradise City," "Sweet Child o' Mine" and "Patience." But then you hear a track like yesterday's Cool One, "Estranged," and you realize their whole catalog of music is packed full of memorable music.

"Estranged" was the 11th track on their 1991 effort Use Your Illusion II and was released as a single a few years after the initial release of the album in 1994. It made it onto the U.S. Billboard Mainstream Rock chart at No. 16. At almost nine and half minutes long, it is the second-longest song that Guns N' Roses ever recorded. "Coma" is the longest at just over 10 minutes. Use Your Illusion II fared better on the charts than Use Your Illusion I, topping the charts at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200. Use Your Illusion I didn't do too bad though, peaking at No. 2.
