Yesterday I revisited Lzzy Hale (no "i," don't believe me? Look it up.) and her band, Halestorm, from Red Lion, Pennsylvania, founded back in 1997. The song I featured was "I Am the Fire" from their third studio album, Into the Wild Life. The single made it to No. 40 on the U.S. Rock Songs chart and No. 3 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock Songs chart. The album charted at No. 5 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the U.S. Rock chart.

Formed by Lzzy and her brother Arejay, Halestorm is one of those hard rocking bands that has been on the edge of hitting it big and, despite constant touring, fame has eluded them. Believe or not, in the earlier days of the band, the Hale siblings' father, Roger, was part of the band before Josh Smith picked up bass duties in 2004.
