The Power 96 Cool One I featured yesterday was a live cover of the Supremes' No. 1 hit "Where Did Our Love Go," performed by the J. Geils Band. The track came from their second live album, Blow Your Face Out, which was recorded at two shows in November 1975. One was in their hometown of Boston at Boston Garden, on November 15, and the other was four nights later in Detroit at Cobo Hall. The album came in at No. 40 on the U.S. charts during a time when double-live albums by artists like Peter Frampton and Bob Seger were at the height of their popularity. "Where Did Our Love Go" peaked at No. 68 on the U.S. charts.

Make sure you're listening today at 4:35PM when I feature a band made up of members from the most recent Thin Lizzy line-up that decided to record a new album and release it under a new name. Find out who it is on the next Power 96 Cool One brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault.
