Power 96 Cool One Recap: Jon Bon Jovi

The Power 96 Cool One that I chose yesterday was "Blaze of Glory," the title track of the first solo effort by Jon Bon Jovi. Released on Aug. 7, 1990, the album contains songs from the movie Young Guns II, as well as tracks that were inspired by it. The single made it to No. 1 in the U.S., on both the Billboard 100 and the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. It also went to No. 1 in Canada, Australia and New Zealand and was in the top 20 in the UK, Ireland, Germany and Sweden. The album itself peaked at No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and also garned Academy Award and Grammy nominations.

Jon Bon Jovi also made a cameo appearance as a prisoner in the movie Young Guns II.
