I kicked the week off with a bang by featuring Judas Priest's "Rocka Rolla" as the Power 96 Cool One on Monday. This single came out a month before the album of the same name hit the stores in September 1974. "Rocka Rolla," both the single and the album, failed to get any traction on the charts here and abroad.

Rocka Rolla was their debut album and the only one featuring original drummer John Hinch. It was initially issued with a picture of a bottle cap on the album cover on which the words Rocka Rolla were printed in the style of Coca-Cola. It was later reissued with cover art similar to the cover of the novel The Steel Tsar.

Check out the Power 96 Cool One this afternoon, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault. I feature a band that was the product of members from the Pixies and Throwing Muses. Think you know who it is? Listen at 4:35PM to find out if you're right.
