Last Friday seems like a long time ago. I hope everyone had an enjoyable Mother's Day. I certainly did, as I spent mine with my wife, kids and grandchildren. We all went out to eat and then went home and played with the grandkids. So as I sit here trying to recall last Friday's Power 96 Cool One, I'm glad I remembered to write it down. the band was Kiss, the song was their first single from their self-titled debut album and that song was "Nothin' to Lose," which was written by Gene Simmons. Simmons shares the lead vocals on it with Peter Criss and the song features nonmember Bruce Foster on piano. Although it failed to chart, it has turned up on many live and compilation albums.

Join me this afternoon at 4:35 for today's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault. Today's track features a band that has been described as a fusion of heavy metal, funk, jazz, hip-hop and alternative rock.
