Power 96 Cool One Recap: Living Colour

Living Colour's "Glammer Boys" was yesterday's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts. It was the fourth single released from their Vivid album and made it to No. 31 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1989. In 1990 it was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. The album itself peaked at No. 6 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and spawned two other charting singles, "Open Letter (To a Landlord)," which came in at No. 82, and "Cult of Personality" at No. 13, which also won a Grammy in 1990 for Best Hard Rock Performance. In 1989, the band itself was the MTV Video Music Awards' Best New Artist.
