Your Power 96 Cool One for Tuesday was a collaborative effort between Bob Marley, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. The tricky thing about this collaboration was that it took place after Marley had passed away at age 36 in 1981 from melanoma. The song "Roots, Rock, Reggae" was taken from the duet filled album titled Bob Marley: Chant Down Babylon released in November 1999. Each track features Bob Marley performing studio engineered duets with various artists, creating a new sound from an existing song. Yesterday's Cool One paired him up with Steven Tyler on vocals and Joe Perry on guitar.

Chant Down Babylon peaked at No. 60 on the U.S. Billboard 200, No. 21 on the R&B Albums chart and No. 1 on the Top Reggae Albums chart.

Join me at 4:35PM today for another Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault, featuring an artist that was part of two different well-known bands as well as an iconic solo performer.
