Yesterday's Power 96 Cool One came from Ozzy Osbourne's seventh studio album, Ozzmosis. The first track on the album is "Perry Mason," and it's also the song I chose for my Cool One. Written by Zakk Wylde, John Purdell and Osbourne and released as a single, it made it to No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The singles "See You on the Other Side" and "I Just Want You" also performed well on the charts, continuing Ozzy's string of charting hits. Ozzmosis charted at No. 4 on the U.S. Billboard 200.

I'll probably be dipping into Ozzy's library quite often as I look for different tunes to feature as my Cool One. He is one of my favorite solo artists and surrounds himself with musicians that have mastered their craft, thus helping him create very entertaining music. Another reason I'll be mining Cool Ones from his catalog is the fact that Ozzy has so many singles that don't get the airplay they deserve and I feel they need to be re-exposed to the airwaves.

This afternoon, make sure you're listening at 4:35PM for the next Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault. Today's Cool One highlights a band once described as "The English guys with the big fiddles."
