Wednesday's Power 96 Cool One came from Canadian rock-guitarist, keyboardist and singer Pat Travers. The tune I featured was "Is This Love" from his 1980 release Crash and Burn. This album was his highest charting effort, peaking at No. 20 on the U.S. Billboard Album chart. The single I tracked was actually a cover of a Bob Marley song and the album also had another cover, "Born Under a Bad Sign," originally done by Albert King.

Several well-known artists have been a part of the Pat Travers Band over the years, including Iron Maiden's Nicko McBrain, UFO's Clive Edwards, Sniff 'n' the Tears' Mick Dyche, Santana's Michael Shrieve, Tommy Aldridge, Jerry Riggs, Carmine Appice and others.

Please take some time out of your day to check out my next Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault or online at www.kellysautosalvage.com. It comes your way each weekday at 4:35PM on Power 96.
