Power 96 Cool One Recap: Queen

Tuesday's Power 96 Cool One was "It's Late" from Queen's sixth studio album, News of the World. This single managed to get to No. 74 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 while the album, released on October 28, 1977, peaked at No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and No. 4 on the UK Albums Chart.

News of the World was the first album by Queen that I purchased based solely on the recommendation of a friend while we were in math class in high school. It is also my favorite album by Queen, closely followed by A Kind of Magic. It also contains the hits "We Will Rock You," "We Are the Champions" and "Spread Your Wings." All those singles are great but my favorite tune from the album is the straight ahead rocker, "Shear Heart Attack."
