The Power 96 Cool One for your Tuesday was Rockpile’s “Teacher Teacher” from their 1980 and only studio release, Seconds of Pleasure. Of the three singles released from the album, “Teacher Teacher” was the only one that charted here, reaching No. 51 on the U.S. Billboard 100. The other two tracks released were “Wrong Again (Let’s Face It)” and “Now and Always.”

Rockpile is a supergroup of sorts as the band was made up of the already well-known Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe along with fellow musicians Billy Bremner and Terry Williams.

Supposedly, Rockpile recorded three other studio albums, but they ended up getting issued as solo releases by Edmunds and Lowe. They also have a live album available called “Live at Montreaux 1980.”

Please listen for today’s Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly’s Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault. Who is it? You’ll have to tune in at 4:35PM to find out.
