Yesterday's Power 96 Cool One was "I Want to Make the World Turn Around" from the Steve Miller Band's 14th studio album, Living in the 20th Century, released in November 1986. The single peaked at No. 97 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Album Rock Tracks chart. The album itself climbed to No. 65 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, the Steve Miller Band is one of those bands that perform live at a very comfortable volume, similar to how loud you might crank it up at home. You get to rock 'n' roll, but you don't end up with a loud ringing in your ears or almost deaf, similar to what happens when you take in a Ted Nugent show.

Today's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault, features a band that has scored 18 No. 1 albums and 18 No. 1 singles. Listen at 4:35PM to find out what band it is.
