Power 96 Cool One Recap: Styx

I wasn't sure what I wanted to play for yesterday's Power 96 Cool One. I knew I wanted to feature Styx but I wasn't sure what song. I checked out "High Time", "Boat on the River", "Nothing Ever Goes as Planned" and others and finally decided on "Why Me". This is a track from their ninth studio album, Cornerstone, which was released in October of 1979. The single peaked at No. 26 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and No.   on the Canada RPM Top 100 Singles chart. The album was the first U.S. Top 5 album, reaching No.2 on the U.S. Billboard 200. By the way, one of the other songs I was considering for yesterday's Cool One, "Boat on the River", also came from Cornerstone and was the group's biggest hit in Europe.
