Last Friday's Power 96 Cool One came from Atlanta, Georgia, rockers The Georgia Satellites. Classic rock fans remember them for their No. 2 U.S. Billboard Hot 100 hit, "Keep Your Hands to Yourself," and their No. 11 U.S. Mainstream Rock Chart single, "Battleship Chains," but I decided to dig up something by them that hasn't received as much airplay over the years. What I found was "Railroad Steel," also from the same album as their two other hits, their 1986 self-titled debut. It peaked at No. 34 on the Mainstream Rock Chart but didn't appear on the Hot 100. I almost went with another single from the album Open All Night, but ultimately I liked the sound of "Railroad Steel" better and remembered and enjoying that track when the record first came out.

Today's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault, comes from a band whose lead singer once fronted Van Halen. Think you might know who it is? Find out if you're right at 4:35PM this afternoon on Power 96.
