The Refreshments, an alternative rock band out of Arizona, was Tuesday's Power 96 Cool One with their song "Banditos." From their February 27, 1996, major label release, Fizzy Fuzzy Big and Buzzy, the Cool One climbed the charts to No. 14 on the U.S. Billboard Modern Tracks chart and No. 11 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The album peaked at No. 97 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Heatseekers chart.

The Refreshments are now known as Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers and have performed under that moniker since 1998. Founder Roger Clyne wrote the theme song for the animated TV series King of the Hill titled "Yahoos and Triangles." Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers also wrote and performed the Arizona Diamondbacks' theme song "The D-Back's Swing" and they have their own private label tequila called Mexican Moonshine.

Please join me this afternoon at 4:35PM for the next Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault.
