The Power 96 Cool One featured yesterday afternoon was "I'm a Man" from The Spencer Davis Group. Released in January 1967, this hit song was written by the band's singer/songwriter, Steve Winwood, along with record producer Jimmy Miller, and made it to No. 9 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. It was included on their album I'm a Man, which was released that summer. This was the last hit with the band for Winwood and his brother, Mervyn "Muff" Winwood, as they both left in 1967. Steve Winwood would go on to form the group Traffic.

Check out my Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault, today at 4:35PM when I feature a band that supposedly is making one of their final appearances at the "X" this summer. Crank it up and enjoy! I hope to see you at the Morristown Dam Days Celebration Twilight Parade tonight at 7PM.
