Power 96 Cool One Recap: The Temperance Movement

Tuesday's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts, exposed you to The Temperance Movement. I stumbled across the track, "Take It Back," while searching for new bands and music. Within the first few notes I realized I'd found a new band that I was going to have to find out more about. They've got a Black Crowes feeling about them, yet they have a very distinct sound that appeals to me.

This British blues rock band formed in 2011 and released their Pride EP in 2012, and their eponymous debut studio album dropped on Sept. 16, 2013. "Take It Back" is the 10th track off their self-titled release and it's in pretty good company. This album is filled with quite a few foot-stomping rockers. If you enjoy this band as much as I do, then make sure you search for some of their live versions, which have a raw, edgier sound.

And since it's April Fool's Day today, you'll be a fool to miss out on the Power 96 Cool One at 4:35 p.m. by a band famous for its lead singer's high-energy onstage antics, but these hard rockers are definitely not fools.
