In 1989, Bob Dylan's son, Jakob Dylan, formed the band The Wallflowers in Los Angeles. They've recorded and released six studio albums and several hit singles since then, including yesterday's Power 96 Cool One, "Three Marlenas," from their second album, Bringing Down the Horse, released in 1996. "Three Marlenas" peaked at No. 41 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, No. 35 on the Mainstream Top 40, No. 27 on Hot Adult Top 40 Tracks, No. 21 on Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks and No. 17 Hot Alternative Tracks. The album topped out at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Mainstream Rock, Modern Rock and The Adult Top 40 charts and was one of the best-selling albums of 1997.

I take it up a notch with today's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault, when I feature one of my all-time favorite heavy metal bands -- a band that suffered through a Spinal Tap-esque problem of constantly changing drummers in their earlier years. Want to know who it is? Well then, make sure you're listening around 4:35PM today and you will.
