Power 96 Cool One Recap: Van Halen

Since it was April Fool's Day yesterday, I decided to go with Van Halen and "Fools." I thought about using Def Leppard's "Foolin'" or "Ship of Fools" from Robert Plant or a myriad of other fool-related songs that we play, but ultimately I went with this Van Halen track off their third studio effort titled, Women and Children First. "Fools," the third cut on the album, was never released as a single but still seemed an appropriately titled song for the day. The two singles from that album were "And the Cradle Will Rock..." and "Everybody Wants Some." This album also features the backing vocals of Nicollette Larson on the track "Could This Be Magic" and is the only female backing vocal recorded for a Van Halen song.
