I hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day weekend! Looking back to last Friday I almost couldn't  remember what the Power 96 Cool One was but then it came back to me, Mr. Big's "Take Cover." Taken from their fourth studio album, Hey Man, this single was released during the alternative rock era and didn't fare well on the charts, failing to even make its mark. The album was a huge success in Japan, going to No. 1 on their charts.

This hard rocking quartet was formed in Los Angeles in 1988 and, despite internal conflicts, have managed to release eight studio albums, 10 live albums, four compilation albums and 16 singles. They broke up in 2002 but got back together in 2009 and toured Japan. Their last album, The Stories We Could Tell, was released in 2014 and by all accounts they're still together.

Due to this afternoon's game, your Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault will be heard at the earlier time of 2:35PM.
