A biennial show returns to Faribault this weekend as the Rice County Piecemakers host the Fall Splendor Quilt Show.

The show takes place at the Cathedral of Our Merciful Savior in Faribault and will be open to the public on Friday, September 23, from 9AM to 6PM and on Saturday, September 24, from 9AM to 4PM. Admission is $4. There will be more than 200 quilts on display with the large quilts in the sanctuary and wall hangings and other quilted items in the Guild Hall. There will also be a small quilt auction, a quilt raffle, demonstrations, a bazaar, lunch and door prizes.

The show's proceeds benefit the group in efforts to create and donate quilts to area nonprofits, educational meetings, and other group expenses. The Rice County Piecemakers started the show in 1986 and holds the Fall Splendor Quilt Show every other year. The Rice County Piecemakers encourage everyone to explore the quilts that will be on display and they are open to new members.
