The Randolph FFA will be holding their Corn Drive for Camp Courage today. Randolph FFA members will be driving trucks and pickups pulling gravity wagons around Randolph asking farmers to donate some corn for Camp Courage. Camp Courage is a camp in Minnesota for kids with special needs.

How it works is that some farmers just unload some corn from the combine into the gravity box. Others will just write a check or, if you spilled some corn as I did, farmers tell the FFA members to clean it up and you can have the corn!

Most of the FFA Chapters in our area have a Corn Drive for Camp Courage. Camp Courage has kind of been "adopted" by the Minnesota FFA. In fact, the idea of a Corn Drive for Camp Courage began decades ago in Freeborn. Yes, the Freeborn FFA held the first Corn Drive for Camp Courage. By the way, this is my "claim to fame" as now Freeborn is part of the United South Central FFA. The United South Central FFA includes my hometown of Wells.
