Allina District One Hospital Chief Operating Officer Stephen Pribyl will be the guest on the KDHL AM Minnesota program Monday, July 31.

The Faribault hospital is having an open house of their recently completed new Emergency Department (ER).

The new ER, measuring 20,000 square feet, "offers a large, light, modern space for patients to receive exceptional medical care from highly-trained doctors and nursing staff using the latest in medical technology" according to a News Release from District One.

"District One Hospital's Emergency Department offers advanced diagnostics, radiology and access to medical specialists. A level IV trauma center, the Emergency Department offers resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill and injured patients. The hospital is designated acute stroke ready by the state of Minnesota. Staff is able to stabilize and administer life-saving medications to stroke patients. Boasting fourteen single-occupancy patient exam rooms, three of which are behavioral health rooms, two trauma rooms, cardiac monitoring throughout, pneumatic tube system and enhanced security, the entirely new addition more than doubles the previous space."

The community open house will be held Thursday, August 3 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

There will be refreshments served, giveaways and self-guided tours.

A representative of the Emergency Department may also be joining us 9:30 a.m. for AM Minnesota.

Pribyl recently announced his decision to retire.

He oversaw the transition from a independent local hospital to a member of the Allina family of clinics and hospitals.

If you can't tune in at that time the show will be on our YouTube channel for your convenience at www.youtube.com/user/KDHLRadio.
