Rice County Fair Queen Contest Details on AM Minnesota

Rice County Fair Board President Kathleen Cap is in charge of the Fair Queen Contest and will visit with us today on AM Minnesota at 9:30AM.

Deadline for ladies to sign up is June 29. A two-page entry form is available on the Rice County Fair website: www.ricecountyfair.net. We will go over the various rules to participate.

The form is pretty simple and each contestant needs a sponsor. The entry fee is $60 and a recent, non-returnable wallet-sized head shot photo is needed.

In addition to the form, contestants need to write why they are interested in running for Rice County Fair Queen. Various school and other activities they may be involved in, their interests, hobbies and what they enjoy in their free time. Any other interesting tidbits about themselves. Past adventures at the fair and what they enjoy about the fair as well as any suggestions for improving the fair.

A four- or five-minute speech outlining why they want to be royalty for the fair is also requested.
