The Rice County Historical Society is expanding its hours for the summer.

Starting this weekend, the museum at 1814 N.W. Second Ave., Faribault, will be open from 10AM to 2PM Saturdays through Labor Day. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors, $1 for youths and free for children 12 and younger. The museum is open Monday-Friday from 10AM to 4PM.

The RCHS will host an open house at the historic Alexander Faribault house, 12 N.E. First Ave., Faribault, from 10AM to 2PM Saturday, June 18, during Faribault's Heritage Days celebration. Tours are free with a Heritage Days button.

During the summer and fall, tours of the Alexander Faribault house are available by request with a minimum of 24 hours notice. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children. Call (507) 332-2121 to request a tour.
