A spokesman says an officer on patrol was driving behind a vehicle when his automatic license plate reader signaled the car had been reported stolen in Chicago. The woman driving the car pulled over on the street adjacent to the Boys and Girls Club around 3 PM, prompting the officer to request a temporary lockdown until the situation was resolved.

It turns out the 25-year-old Michigan City woman driving the car was carrying 16 bags containing seven grams of cocaine and a small amount of heroin. Jasmine Morris was arrested on vehicle theft and a felony drug charges.
