In many small communities, the local coffee shop is a buzzing place and in Jackson, Minn., a former hometown boy is creating quite a stir.

In 1964, David Warren Ellefson was born in Jackson, Minn. If that name sounds familiar, it is because he went on to make a name in the world of rock as a member of Megadeth. Despite Grammy nominations and platinum records, Ellefson has not forgotten about his hometown and recently announced plans to open a coffee shop in Jackson. Ellefson has teamed up with Susan Reiter, owner of Coffee Choices, to rebrand the local coffee shop as Ellefson Coffee Co. with a grand opening set for the spring. While grabbing a cup of coffee, consumers can also check out the albums and merchandise that will be for sale and take a look at the memorabilia that will be on display.
