The weather may be hot, but the Rice County Fair is cool. It's only Thursday, and the fair has so much yet to offer!

We saw plenty of kids visiting the fair, checking out the animal barns and other attractions. Both the Cannon and Sellner stages boast lots of free entertainment from jugglers to music to comedy, so be sure to check them out as you explore.

The animal barns are full of cuteness, with bunnies, goats, sheep and calves. And don't forget to check out the horse and poultry barns.

If you get hungry, the Midway is packed with vendors, and make sure to cool off with some ice cream at the dairy stand. But make sure you go on all the rides before you eat. One of my favorites is Faribault's own Tilt-a-Whirl. I'm too chicken to ride the ferris wheel.

And you can play games to win prizes. You don't even have to shell out a lot of cash if you participate in Power 96's High/Low game or KDHL's Ladies Nail Driving contest. Stop by our booth on the Midway in front of the Sellner stage and say hi to your favorite DJ.

Tonight, from 6-10, the Whitesidewalls will perform on the Sellner stage, and the Enduro auto races also begin at 6PM in the Grandstand.

We hope to see you at the Rice County Fair.
