Huge news was revealed May 12 when a one-time only two-day festival called Ozzfest Meets Knotfest was announced. After the massive press conference, Zakk Wylde’s Black Sabbath tribute band, Zakk Sabbath, jammed some classic anthems with special guests.

San Bernardino, Calif., will become a metal mecca on Sept. 24 and 25. Ozzfest will kick off the two-day showcase with Black Sabbath, Disturbed, Megadeth and more performing. Knotfest will come the very next day with Slipknot, Slayer, Anthrax and others ripping the festival grounds.

The press conference featured a who's who of metal answering questions, with Sharon Osbourne introducing her husband Ozzy in the wake of news that the couple has split. After yesterday’s press conference, Zakk Wylde made the most of the crowd. Along with bassist Rob ‘Blasko’ Nicholson (Ozzy Osbourne) and Joey Castillo (Danzig / Queens of the Stone Age), Zakk performed “N.I.B.” and “Fairies Wear Boots” for the attendees.

Slipknot’s Corey Taylor manned the mic on “Fairies Wear Boots” while Disturbed vocalist David Draiman lent his voice to “N.I.B.” Check out those performances below and an awesome gallery of yesterday’s events above. Get full info on Ozzfest Meets Knotfest here.
