With the warmer weather upon us, and hopefully Winter in the rearview mirror, we are now in Spring. Spring brings us many things, trees budding, grass growing, flowers blooming, and the start of grilling season.

Spring also brings with it mud, the start of road construction season, and seasonal allergies. It can be hard to tell if you have caught a spring cold, or if it is seasonal allergies, but, the length of the symptoms is a pretty good indicator. You can find out more on that here.

I have seen things on Facebook that seem to indicate that this year might be pretty bad as far as allergies go, but, I could not find anything to prove it locally, so, I can't give any indications as to how bad this season might be.

If you suffer from allergies, as my family does, the good news is there are ways to make the symptoms not as bad. Check the pollen counts before venturing outside daily, as well as taking allergy medication when the counts are really high can help with symptoms. The Mayo Clinic website has more great tips to help those who suffer from seasonal allergies.

Or, you could be like me, and just make sure you always have a tissue ready to go, just in case.
