Special Needs Parents Will Celebrate This!

Score one for Gerber and inclusion. The announcement came out that the newest Gerber Baby, is a little guy who has the biggest grin, and has Down Syndrome. His name is Lucas, and his mother entered a picture of him on whim, on Instagram, where she used the Gerber hashtag.

Lucas has a great smile, and he is just the cutest little thing. I love seeing inclusion, and am thrilled that Gerber is using him to represent their product lines on social media. There is also a prize for the family.

I am the parent of a child with special needs, and this hit me right in the feels. Anytime we can be more inclusive, it just makes my heart melt. Congratulations to Lucas and his family. You can see the whole story here.
