Was working on your fitness one of your New Year's resolutions? What about trying out new things? If so, then you might want to mark your calendar and plan to preregister for and attend the Introduction to SUP Class coming up in Faribault!

SUP, better known as Stand Up Paddle Boarding, has been growing in popularity over the past few years, and now, you can learn the basics in Faribault. The class is 4:30-6:30PM Saturday, March 18, at the Faribault Community Center Pool. The class size is limited to six people, and the cost is only $10 per person. During the class, participants will learn the basics of stand up paddle boarding along with the equipment, as well as how to get on the board, and how to paddle. The class is taught in the pool, and there is a possibility that participants may get wet, so wear appropriate attire. In stand up paddle boarding, a paddle is used to move and direct the board through the water. While many people enjoy stand up paddle boarding as a casual activity on the water, more recently people have been including workouts with the board and doing yoga and other workout routines on the stand up paddle boards.
