Steele County Free Fair Wrap-Up

Final attendance figures for the Steele County Free Fair were down about 10 percent, according to Fair Manager Jim Gleason: 307,403 people attended this year's fair.

Mega Ride ticket sales reached a record of 5,073. ATM transactions hit an all-time high with more than 30,000 on Thursday. That short-lived record was broken on Sunday when almost 35,000 ATM transactions took place.

About 13,300 people visited the Fine Arts Building and the Auto Museum reported almost 14,500 visitors.

During fair week, the Steele County Free Fair website had 393,201 hits and 347,905 Facebook likes.

Saturday night's Enduro will be made up this Saturday, Aug. 29, starting at 5PM. Purchased tickets will be honored. You also will have the opportunity to purchase tickets when the ticket booth opens at 3PM Saturday.
