Minnesota’s largest county fair, the Steele County Free Fair, runs Aug. 18-23 this year. There are plenty of fun things to do, both free and paid, including the entertainment in the beer garden if you are of age.

The Steele County Free Fair starts with The Covers performing on Tuesday, Aug. 16. On Wednesday, you can hear Jivin' Ivan and the Kings of Swing at 3PM and rock out with the Johnny Holm band at 8:30PM. Thursday brings two chances for live music with Jivin’ Ivan again playing in the afternoon and Them Pesky Kids putting on the evening show. Friday catch MoJo Blues Band in the afternoon, and come back to see Zed Leppelin and Lizard King take the stage in the evening. On Saturday, you have a chance to see Led Penny, and later you can catch Jacqueline Rose. Sunday the beer garden hosts the Dan Stursa Band and the Church of Cash.

Other fun things to check out are the midway filled with rides and free entertainment like Dave Smith Jr., Human Cannonball, and the American Lumberjack show.
