Minnesota's largest county fair, the Steele County Free Fair, runs Aug. 18-23 this year. There are plenty of fun things to do, both free and paid, including the entertainment in the beer garden if you are of age.The Steele County Free Fair plans to start with a bang and the Johnny Holm Band will be performing on Tuesday, Aug. 18. On Wednesday, you can hear Madd Hogg Jackson. Thursday brings two chances for live music with Jivin' Ivan playing in the afternoon and Coyote putting on an evening show. Friday catch Led Penny in the afternoon, and come back to see Trip Wire take the stage in the evening. On Saturday, you have a second chance to see Jivin' Ivan, and later you can catch 32 Below. Sunday the beer garden hosts the Dan Stursa Band and the Church of Cash.

Other fun things to check out are the midway filled with rides and free  entertainment like Dave Smith Jr. Human Cannon ball, and the American Lumberjack show.
