Over the weekend, Medford celebrated its annual Straight River Days festival. The Power 96 and KDHL crew was asked to take part in the festivities and we had a great time doing so!

On Friday afternoon, I headed over to the brand new Casey's General Store in Medford. Located right off of I-35, the new store is just past the roundabouts on the left with plenty of parking space and ample pumps. Inside the store, which is open 24 hours a day, is spacious, well lit, clean and boasts a variety of made-to-order subs and pizza. The entire staff was friendly and it was great chatting with them and learning more about everything that Casey's General Store in Medford has to offer. The Casey's General Store team was also in the Straight River Days parade with a character named Pepperoni Pete. Power 96 and KDHL also joined in the parade fun.

On Saturday the Power 96 crew headed back to Medford for more Straight River Days fun. The Medford Muni once again hosted us for the annual Power 96 Rooftop toss, which is one of the most memorable events we do each year. We broadcast live from the roof and play classic rock favorites, and then we get to jam out to the live band for a bit. This year, the band was Copperhead Creek, a country band from the Twin Cities, who put on a great performance and sounded great. When the band took their first break, it was time for the toss. From the rooftop, we hooked attendees up with t-shirts, hats, can koozies, and more.

Thanks to Casey's General Store and the Medford Muni for hosting us! We look forward to the next Straight River Days celebration!
