The Cardinals knew that even though Southland only had 6 wins on the season coming into the playoff game Thursday night at Van Orsow Auditorium, that it was not going to be an easy game.
Thursday night the Bethlehem Academy Cardinal boys basketball team managed to come back against the tough Goodhue Wildcats. Friday night as they were down against the Buccaneers, they tried really hard but could not get ahead this time.
Friday night the 3-6 Cannon Falls Bombers went to Dodge Center to face the 4-5 Triton Cobras. It looked like the Cobras were going to run away with it at first as they got off to a pretty good run. But then the Bombers started hitting shots and got to within 3 at halftime 32-29.
The Lakeville North Panthers had a great season, and even though they did not do as well as they had hoped at the state tournament, they still got farther than many other teams did.

Minneapolis North is a repeat as the Class 1A Champion and will bump up to Class 2A next season.
