The weather was pretty nice, the snow is going away. Did that motivate you to do much this past weekend? Saturday after work, I got some house cleaning done. Being single, this task falls on me, although my two kids who live with me do help out...

It's Throwback Thursday, so I thought it would be fun to share an old picture! Today's picture features someone starting their broadcast career with KDHL at a very early age!

Last year at about this time, I hopped on a plane and headed to Louisville, KY for the 86th Annual FFA Convention! We spent our time interviewing local FFA students and sending reports back to KDHL. Next week, we make that same journey, so I thought it would be a fun timeto look back!

Every year, without fail, there will be a prank or two pulled on KDHL's Jerry Groskruetz during the Rice County Fair. A few years back it was a wooden rocking chair that was at the end of it's life, the following year it was replaced with a '70s era pleather recliner and a note instructing that Jerry should not be woken unless you bring him a snack...

The Lakefront Music Fest is in Prior Lake July 18th and 19th! Its two days of live music with one night of rock, and one of country! It's summertime! In fact, it's hard to believe but we are about halfway through our precious warm days. The Rice County Fair is next week, and that means all your favorite KDHL and Power 96 team members are going to be out at the fair.

Last weekend our nation celebrated it's independence. Every year, people throw on red, white and blue outfits and take a moment to enjoy summer and reflect on what it means to be American.
