Medford Straight River Days

Even with the heat and humidity, tons of people turned out for the Heritage Days Parade in Faribault. We quickly found out that the large amount of candy we had brought was not enough for all the kids. But we were early in the parade this year so I am sure many units after us had candy.

Over the weekend, Medford celebrated its annual Straight River Days festival. The Power 96 and KDHL crew was asked to take part in the festivities and we had a great time doing so!

What a busy weekend I had. On Friday night I got to crank up some classic rock and golden oldies and hang out downtown with some sweet rides during the second Faribault Mainstreet Car Cruise Night of the summer. As a part of Straight River Days, Medford held a street dance, featuring the music of Hitchville. Hitchville is becoming well known on the Nashville music scene, as well as at Minnesota events. The weather was absolutely perfect, and the crowd was one of the best I have seen in my years of participating in this event...

A big thank you going out to everybody who turned out for tonight's Faribault Mainstreet Car Cruise Night. We had a really good turnout despite the Back to the Fifties Weekend at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds drawing away some of the participants. I h...
