Pet Parade

It was cool summer night for the well-attended 81st annual Pet Parade in Faribault. This year's theme was Tropical Delight and it yielded a variety of costumed animals and decorated floats. There were quite a few Moanas, a familiar toucan, a giant banana, palm trees and more...

Earlier today as I read the weather on the Power 96 Morning Show, I stated that Friday night was going to be a good night to sit outside and enjoy a bonfire and maybe toast some marshmallows and make s'mores. What I failed to realize was that tonight would also be good for making that graham cracker treat as part of celebrating National S'mores Day...

This Thursday at 7PM is the 81st annual Pet Parade in Faribault, and this year's theme is "Tropical Delight." I can imagine this year's participants both animal and human will be coming up with quite a variety of living up to this theme with weiner dogs wearing hula skirts, palm tree covered islands being pulled by huskies, motorized tiki bars being staffed by parrot bartenders and cats,

Tomorrow night is the 80th annual Pet Parade in Faribault. You still have time to build that mini-float, aka, that radio flyer wagon wrapped in crepe paper, and get your pets and kids dressed up in cute matching costumes. I always find it amazing some of the imaginative and creative ideas people come up with to show off their favorite pet or pets...

The weather held out for a fantastic night attending the 77th annual Faribault Pet Parade. I have to admit that I haven't attended one in several years, but since two of my granddaughters were visiting we decided to load up the van and head down to Second Avenue to take in this year's event...
