It was Small Businesses Saturday over this past Thanksgiving weekend. A day in which local communities give everyone a chance to shop and save at your favorite local businesses and take part in various family friendly events. This year many shoppers had an opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of holiday favorites like visiting with Santa and taking a family photo with him and a horse-drawn wagon ride

Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and/or friends. I know I did and, like every year, I ate way too much. Maybe you scored some really nice gifts on Black Friday if you were brave enough to venture out into the chaos...

This Saturday, November 26, it's Small Businesses Saturday. This day is set aside each year, right after Black Friday, as a chance to visit, shop and save at your favorite local businesses and discover new businesses that have popped up over the past year...

Every year about this time the Black Friday hype machine starts to crank up and everyone gets so excited about all the great deals they're going to get as they battle each other for that hot toy or gadget. Well, once all that fun is over and you realize you still have more shopping to do, that's when you can take advantage of all the local stores that are offering some sweet buys right in your own

Each year, before they are even done digesting the turkey and pie, Americans rush out and start their holiday shopping. It used to be early Friday morning that the chaos began, but each year it seems to start early, some as early as 6pm on Thanksgiving day! Did you go out shopping, or did you skip the crowds?
