As Minnesotans, we are generally pretty prepared and deal well with low temperatures, but for the past week or so, we have been experiencing a particularly cold snap. It’s never a bad idea to refresh your memory on some tips to avoid and identify frostbite.
Scraping off a frozen window on a subzero day is one of the undeniable truths of living in the northern part of the country. We may not love it, and, like so many things the amount of time you have available and the amount of de-icing the windows need almost never correlate. So, here are a handful of tips to assist you and your trusty scraper for the remainder of the winter.
We have a wind chill advisory in effect tonight in our listening area, and it’s unlikely to be the last time we see such brutal temperatures before winter ends. I prefer to stay inside and stay warm when it’s this cold out, but that is not always an option.
