Reggie's Brewhouse in Owatonna has been a longtime sponsor of the 5 O'Clock Rock Blocks that helps make your ride home after a long day a little more interesting. Reggie's is also very active in the community by hosting different charitable events to help those in need.

This Saturday, May 14, from 4-9PM, Reggie's will be hosting a Suicide Awareness Benefit in memory of Elizabeth "Lizzy" Tolzman. There will be a silent auction from 4-8:30PM with a nice variety of items to bid on including Harley-Davidson merchandise, wall hangings, framed paintings from local artists, a music stand and chair, and Twins and Gophers paraphernalia. Stop by and put your bid in and also enjoy a Beer Bash from 7-9PM, it's all for a good cause.

The proceeds of this Suicide Awareness Benefit will help the Suicide Awareness and Prevention Rally that is planned for June, the Tolzman family and to help to start a support group because, according to Lizzy's friend, Amber, Lizzy liked to help others.

As a side note, according to the National Alliance for Mental Health website, "suicidal thoughts can affect anyone regardless of age, gender or background and is the third leading cause of death among young people and is often the result of mental health conditions that effect people when they are most vulnerable. In many cases the individuals, friends and families affected by suicide are left in dark, feeling shame or stigma that prevents talking openly about issues dealing with suicide."

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is (800) 273-TALK (800-273-8255).
