Following her breakthrough performance in Martin Scorsese's 'The Wolf of Wall Street,' Margot Robbie is quickly becoming someone to watch. Audiences weren't the only ones taking note of the 23-year-old actress' ability to go toe to toe with Leonardo DiCaprio in the film: Robbie is now being eyed for the role of leading lady opposite Alexander Skarsgard in the upcoming 'Tarzan' live-action film.

The Wrap reports that Robbie would play the role of Jane opposite Skarsgard's Tarzan in the film, which is being helmed by David Yates, who directed the last four 'Harry Potter' films. The project also stars Christoph Waltz and Samuel L. Jackson. Tarzan dates back to the original character that appeared in the 1912 novel 'Tarzan of the Apes,' published by Edgar Rice Burroughs, and has already been brought to life in several films and television shows through the decades.

This version of the story skips past the origin tale and swings right into the action, as Tarzan has already been returned to and formally civilized in British culture. On orders from Queen Victoria, the hero is sent on a mission to the Congo.

The Wrap also notes that Robbie is being eyed for another project: 'Z for Zachariah,' the latest film from Craig Zobel, the director behind dark indie thriller 'Compliance.' Robbie would replace Amanda Seyfried in the sci-fi project, which also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor and Chris Pine.
