The last time the Timberwolves went back to back to the playoffs was in the 2002-2003, and 2003-2004 seasons. This year was the first time in 14 years that the Wolves made the playoffs and now we are hearing that one of it's three best players can't stand the other. It was reported by the Chicago-Sun Times that Jimmy Butler is “all but fed up with the nonchalant attitude of his younger teammates, specifically Karl-Anthony Towns.”

Not good news for Wolves fans. But it gets worse...also in the report, it states that:

"Butler and Kyrie Irving are still scheming to get on the same team, which either involves a Butler trade to the Celtics or both players opting out of their deals and becoming free agents after this upcoming season."  - Joe Cowley, columnist Chicago Sun-Times

The report reads like the only way Butler would want to stay with the Wolves is if they traded KAT (no chance) or is KAT suddenly changes his attitude.

If you’ve been following the Wolves since their playoff exit to Houston you will remember that it was reported that Butler isn’t sure he wants to play with Andrew Wiggins … and that Towns and the Wolves are “not in a good place internally.”

Maybe this is all a ploy for Jimmy to get Kyrie to Minnesota for KAT, or Jimmy just wants to be paid. Wiggins signed a monster contract last year, and Karl Anthony Towns is eligible for a large payday as well this summer. Butler, on the other hand, is eligible for an extension but would be eligible for a much bigger contract if he waits until next summer.

And now with LeBron in the West and Boogie Cousins joining the Warriors, it's looking like the Western Conference is going to be really tough next post-season. Savor the new "Big-3" we have now because come next summer they might not all be on the same team.
