This is it! The final few weeks of horrible-ness on I-35 in Faribault!

MnDOT states that northbound and southbound I-35 are both still single lane traffic and the southbound I-35 ramp to Highway 21 is still closed in order to allow crews to finish the project.

When everything is finished there will be cable median barriers (these were also just installed around the Albert Lea area), the 4-mile southbound stretch between County Road 9 and Highway 21 will be repaved, the Highway 21 exit ramp will be repaved, the deceleration lane off of !-35 south onto 21 will be extended, and culverts will be repaired along I-35.

Whew! Quite the list but the good news is it's all going to be over soon! As long as the weather cooperates the project will be done on October 12th! But prior to this date traffic will still be interesting, so take your time and allow extra time if you're going to be driving along that stretch.
