You might have guessed that the tattooed, ex-interior design student Maynard James Keenan to live in a futuristic, otherworldly abode - something in keeping with Tool's engagingly weird videos.

Turns out, that's exactly right, at least according to several new images posted with a new real-estate listing for his mansion in the Hollywood Hills.

The Mediterranean-style home, which is on sale for $2.975 million, features rooms splashed with a series of inventive color patterns, crazy knick-knacks, exotic international touches and a panoramic pool-side setting overlooking the iconic Hollywood sign -- complete with "weird, faux-patinaed goblin babies," according to LA Curbed. The real estate site also highlights "an apothecary-style kitchen island" and "chandeliers acquired from the estate of Zorro," before concluding that the whole thing is "hideous." (Editor's note: Not all of us agree with that assessment, and we encourage you to make up your own minds!)

Keenan studied interior design at the Kendall College of Art before joining Tool.
